X no. of patients in remote villages were helped with cataract surgeries from Jan to Mar 2022 by Operation Blessing India.

MADHYA PRADESH, INDIA – Meet Ruvina Dhurve, who was diagnosed with a life-threatening ailment at three-months-old. The only daughter from a poor household, Ruvina was facing the challenges of living with Spinal Bifida with Meningomylocele, an abnormality that developed with a small sort of gland which was gradually increasing. She was unable to sleep properly, and was in constant discomfort. Without enough money to even have a proper roof over their heads, the family struggled to imagine a different life for their daughter.

Because of partners like YOU, Ruvina was able to have surgical intervention from Operation Blessing India that healed her completely, and eliminated the risk to her life entirely! Her parents expressed a sigh of relief as they released the fear of losing their child. The entire family, relatives far and wide rejoiced as they heard of Ruvina’s healing!

Ruvina’s father, Mr Kamal Dhurve says joyfully, “I am very thankful for the generous support my daughter received for her surgery from Operation Blessing India. Earlier she used to cry all the time, and we were afraid for her life, the surgery has changed her life completely.”

A FAMILY’S CRY FOR HELP
DEOGARH DISTRICT, JHARKHAND – Meet Dular Murmu, a 30-year-old woman from Pandanatan village of the Deogarh district in Jharkhand, India. She belongs to the Santhal tribe, the third largest tribe in India. The occupation of the Santhals revolves around the forests in which they reside. Their basic needs are fulfilled from trees and plants of the forests. They are also engaged in hunting, fishing and cultivation for their livelihood. Dular lives with her husband and three children. Her husband works as a daily wage labourer. Her family became an outcast in the village due to caste issue and were prohibited to fetch water from the community wells. ​
