Clean Water

In many places, drinking a sip of water can be extremely hazardous – even deadly. Sadly, many people in India have no other choice but to get their water from contaminated streams or ponds – contamination that causes countless children to die needlessly from diarrhea and typhoid. Thanks to your support, Operation Blessing WASH programs (Water, Hygiene, and Sanitation) are helping to change that.

Thanks to YOU children, the elderly, and so many others are protected from water-borne illness—even death—every year. This is possible because of the compassionate and thoughtful clean water solutions you provide through Operation Blessing India to help solve the water crisis.

Every community and every need is different. That’s why Operation Blessing WASH programs (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) improve access to and the quality and reliability of clean water, and also improve hygiene and sanitation behaviors in communities around the world.

Water-borne illnesses like typhoid cause many easily preventable deaths every year, especially among children. But you are saving lives and bringing lasting change through your partnership with Operation Blessing India to counter water shortages. Here are just some of the clean water solutions that you make possible when you partner with us as your clean water charity.

Drilling Water Wells

You are helping dig deep water wells in places where the abundant sun and frequent droughts create a water shortage. In many communities, women and young girls no longer have to sacrifice their education to carry water –thanks to you! These wells not only shorten the distance to clean water, but also free up time so young girls can attend school.

Hand Pump Wells

In places where there are frequent droughts which create a water shortage, your love and kindness allows Operation Blessing India to install hand pump wells that supply clean water to an entire village.

Water Filtration

You are helping provide water filtration units to families and villages where the water is contaminated and needs to be filtered in order to be safe. You are also helping people in disaster zones to receive water filters. These prevent waterborne disease from spreading in areas where floods and cyclones damage water supply and contaminate water. The water filters are not dependant on electricity and can be used even right after a major cyclone or storm.
